That is the question at the heart of Imagine NDG.
Our vision extends beyond improving individual programs or addressing isolated problems. We want to explore the possibility of transforming the entire experience of community life.
The Community We Envision
1. NuVoWay LifeStyle Centres
Imagine beautiful, welcoming community centres where people of all ages can gather to exercise, learn, socialize, enjoy nutritious meals, and participate in activities that enrich their lives.
Our vision includes the eventual development of NuVoWay LifeStyle Centres offering fitness, recreation, health and wellness programs, education, personal development, entertainment, and opportunities for meaningful community involvement.
These centres would become gathering places at the heart of community life.
2. Food Security for Everyone
Imagine a community where nobody worries about having enough to eat.
Through Feed NDG, we envision bringing together grocery stores, restaurants, food producers, volunteers, and community organizations to help ensure that nutritious food is available to everyone.
Our objective is not simply to relieve hunger, but to create a community where food security becomes a lasting reality.
3. Housing and Financial Security
Imagine every resident having a safe, comfortable place to live without the constant anxiety of financial insecurity.
We envision exploring new approaches to affordable housing, shared resources, cooperative development, and community-supported living.
Our long-term goal is a society where everyone has access to the necessities of life.
4. Health, Wellness, and Personal Development
Imagine a community where everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, happier, stronger, and more fulfilled.
Through NuVoWay LifeStyle Coaches and community wellness initiatives, we hope to help residents develop healthier habits, stronger relationships, greater confidence, and more meaningful lives.
5. Education and Lifelong Learning
Imagine educational opportunities extending far beyond traditional classrooms.
We envision a community where children, adults, and seniors can continuously learn, develop new skills, explore their interests, and share their knowledge with others.
Everyone has something to learn. Everyone has something to teach.
6. Transportation and Sustainability
Imagine convenient, environmentally responsible transportation available throughout our community.
Our long-term vision includes exploring shared electric vehicles, community transportation services, greener neighbourhoods, and innovative approaches to sustainable living.
7. Recreation, Culture, and Entertainment
Imagine a community filled with opportunities to play, create, compete, perform, celebrate, and enjoy life.
Sports, music, art, theatre, community festivals, and recreational activities would be accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
8. A New Economic Possibility — The G3 Limitless Debit Card
Perhaps the most ambitious element of our vision is the eventual creation of a community that functions, for all practical purposes, without money as we know it.
We envision a future in which every adult aged 18 and over could receive a G3 Limitless Debit Card, providing access to goods and services through a fundamentally different economic model.
Such a system would require extensive planning, sustainable funding, economic modelling, infrastructure, partnerships, and community agreement.
It is a long-term aspiration, not a benefit currently available.
But we believe it is a possibility worth exploring.
Our Guiding Principle
Every person matters. Every person belongs. Every person has something valuable to contribute.
We are not asking NDG to abandon what makes it special.
We are asking what might become possible if we build upon everything that already makes this community extraordinary.
