From Imagination to Implementation

A beautiful vision becomes meaningful when we begin taking practical steps to make it real.

Our first 100 days are about listening, connecting, organizing, and demonstrating what can happen when neighbours work together.

We are not attempting to transform NDG overnight.

We are beginning a journey that could eventually transform the lives of thousands of people.

Days 1–20: Listen and Connect

Our first priority is to introduce Imagine NDG and begin meaningful conversations throughout the community.

We will invite residents, business owners, nonprofit organizations, schools, faith communities, and local leaders to share their thoughts about the future of NDG.

We want to understand what people love about our community, what they believe needs improvement, and what they would like to help create.

We will also begin identifying people interested in becoming community champions.

Our objective: Build relationships, listen carefully, and establish the foundations of a community-wide movement.

Days 21–40: Bring People Together

As interest grows, we will begin bringing people together around shared interests and common goals.

We envision establishing small working groups focused on food security, neighbouring, health and wellness, community collaboration, and other priorities identified by residents.

We will invite representatives of local organizations to explore opportunities for cooperation.

Rather than creating unnecessary new structures, we will look for ways to strengthen and connect the resources already available.

Our objective: Turn conversations into relationships and relationships into opportunities for collaboration.

Days 41–60: Launch Practical Projects

During this period, we hope to begin implementing small, achievable initiatives that demonstrate the value of working together.

These might include community food-sharing activities, neighbourhood gatherings, wellness programs, volunteer projects, and opportunities for local organizations to collaborate.

We will encourage residents to propose their own ideas and participate in projects that reflect their interests and abilities.

Our objective: Begin making a visible, positive difference in everyday community life.

Days 61–80: Build Partnerships

We will focus on strengthening relationships with businesses, community organizations, volunteers, and potential supporters.

We will explore opportunities to share facilities, resources, expertise, and services.

We will also begin identifying sustainable ways to finance and support future initiatives.

Our goal is to create partnerships in which everyone benefits and the community becomes stronger.

Our objective: Establish the relationships and resources necessary for continued growth.

Days 81–100: Evaluate and Plan Ahead

As our first 100 days draw to a close, we will review our progress and share what we have learned.

We will celebrate successes, acknowledge challenges, and invite community feedback.

We will identify the most promising opportunities for further development and establish priorities for the next phase.

Our objective: Create a practical foundation for the continued growth of Imagine NDG.

Our First Commitment

We will not measure our success by how many announcements we make or how ambitious our promises sound.

We will measure it by the relationships we build, the people we engage, the projects we launch, and the lives we begin to improve.

One hundred days. One community. A meaningful beginning.
